Advising the Government of Iraq (GoI) on the first sovereign bond issuance and sovereign credit rating for the Republic of Iraq after the 2003 war ($1 billion USD raised in 2017).

Worked with team drafting the ‘White Paper’ headed by the Deputy PM and Minister of Finance in 2020, which outlined key reforms to improve the Iraqi economy; White Paper approved by Council of Ministers in October 2020

Hyder Zahid

Hyder Zahid is a financial services professional with 15 years of experience across Investment and Corporate banking divisions. At the Iraqi Prime Minister office, he worked on their first sovereign bond issuance and restructuring the national budget. He also worked on financing key government projects in the energy, construction, healthcare and education sectors. Prior to that was a Vice President in Global Trade at JP Morgan Chase. He holds a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
